The crimp come into being through the retraction happened after the air-mechanical deformation (air-jet).
With post-thermosetting in a heater you build-up higher crimp-stability but also a reduced shrinkage.
This dimension-steadiness, low pilling- and crease-tendency result in a good slippage resistance.
The natural and cotton-like look is representative for such yarns.
